“We had a fantastic stay at the Hirox. Joshua kept in contact well before our arrival in order to pre-heat the residence, which was a very lovely and personable touch. You can tell that Joshua really cares for this property and for the guests that stay in it. The pictures were quite accurate, including the beautiful views from the balcony! The kitchen was stocked with spices and basics like olive oil, which made cooking meals so much easier for us. The bedrooms were very much as advertised……

“I had a really good experience with this cabin and the location. The owner lives on site, met me within two minutes of my arrival, and then gave me a brief and complete rundown of the property and the surrounding area highlights. Property sits on a beautiful stream and the large property is very well maintained. Inside of the cabin matches the photographs in the listing. A lot of outdoor activities near by. If you like hiking, there are really nice lakes and trailheads all along Route 214, which……

“The house was fantastic. Close to Hunter Mountain Ski Resort and a cute one street town. Peter and Lara had both wood burning stoves going for us when we arrived. The house is wonderful with a fun separate hang out place for the kids. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Hot tub with wonderful views. All the firewood you could ever need. We will be back for sure!”

“There were 26 of us for a nice family gathering. Plenty of bedrooms and beds. Only 2 showers for 26 people a little challenging. Kitchen facilities lacking materials as noted in the listing. Bring your own pots and pans. Hot tub and fire pit were a nice addition. All in all, worked out great.”

It is very conveniently located for those that like to take advantage of skiing between Hunter and Windham mountains. “We decided on a trip to Hunter Mountain with our family and some of my sons friends. I came across this house and let me tell you the pictures do not do it justice it’s even better in person!! We were beyond happy with the house and the location…. The house was fully stocked with everything you could imagine. So much room for our group of 13 including our golden retriever! The kids and adults loved the game room some adults even had a Pac-Man competition. We will definitely stay at this house……

“We travel to the Catskills at least once a year and stay at various locations. What sets this property apart is the true seclusion and absolutely no distractions from the nature around you. Even though it is close to hubs like Wyndham and Hunter (less than 20 to both) when sitting outside it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Inside is clean, cosey by the fire, and lots of fun things to do with our teenagers. Definitely would stay again.”

The waffle maker was a big hit.The fridge had plenty of space and there was coffee, tea, sugar and misc spices available. (Note there is not a dishwasher or washing machine at the property, and the well water does have a sulfur odor - in case you aren't used to rural water quirks). The hot tub was nice to have,……

“Stayed here for a family of 6 ski trip to Belleayre. It was very clean and well stocked, with comfortable furnishings . Enjoyed the gas firepit on the deck, which has lots of comfortable seating around it. This is a perfect all-season house. I highly recommend it. Will definitely return!”
