“My adult son and I try to take a a small-scale road trip together every Spring. This past week, we built so many new memories, in great part due to this wonderful property. It’s super-clean, with character and an historical ambience. We found so much to do in the Galena area, including nearby towns and the Galena River Trail. Coming “home” each evening to this cozy place was a comforting feeling after each very active day. My son, who has a developmental disability due to childhood stroke,……

“The house was everything we could have hoped for and more with a great kitchen, comfy beds, and plenty of seating areas. We will definitely hope to return again someday!”

“We had a perfect weekend for three friends from grade school to reconnect. The weather was perfect and the house was perfect. There were three bedrooms on three different floors, a deck to view nature, and a large kitchen table to eat, play games and laugh. The host was wonderful and sent suggestions ahead of time. Their home was well stocked and very comfortable. We had a picnic at Galena vineyards, shopped main street, ate at Galena brewery and did the Goat trek! We would love to come back……

“Beautiful property. Plenty of things to do and explore around the area, and yet, still peaceful. We had a wonderful time!”

Only drawback was we had a issue with a toilet and notified the owner who responded promptly, yet the maintenance was not able to enter the property because we were out enjoying ourselves, not leaving our key in the lockbox. A suggestion would be that the maintenance/owner have access to another key besides what is given to their guests…..and if so would have rated all 5 stars.”

“Beds were great, we all slept great. Very quite location, small ant problem and lower level tub could use a better cleaning. It may have not been rented for a while, there was dead bugs in tub and on floors. A review awhile back said that the coffee maker took forever to brew, I would agree that it needs a new one. But overall great stay.”
