“I had hoped i would be able to get a roll, or sandwich in the evening. Admittedly, i only asked for some crisps, as it appeared there was no service, as such, in the evening. The breakfast was good & the room clean & comfortable. However, it would be better to make sure that everything in the room is secure & not left for the customer to discover!!! ”

“Nicer than 3* - great value for money, nice food and reasonable prices - didn’t bring my dogs this time but was noticeably dog friendly so I would bring them another time. We arrived very early and we couldn’t check in early but could leave the car for free and explore. Mum loved her £12 breakfast that was both hot and continental and could go back for fruit and toast and cereal as many times as you wanted - tea coffee and juices all good. Comfy beds and great night sleep in classic twin on……

“Weekend break in the area First time around here and Criccieth is beautiful and the gateway to the peninsula The Lion is in a great spot and all our interactions with staff were fantastic Genuinely nice people. The rooms are quirky and lots of steps so if you’re a premier inn or Hilton regular maybe this ones not for you, but we enjoyed it Breakfast was very good and set us up for exploring ”

“This lodging was everything I needed. The room was clean and well appointed. As the owner is working on a full restoration of the property he public hall wallpapers haven’t been done yet but as soon as you get into the rooms they are very nice.”

“I have read some of the reviews and sometimes wonder what people expect. We stayed in a two bedroom classic bungalow and was impressed with the space and fittings of our accommodation. There is some room for improvement if critical and is not really worth mentioning here. We did not use any of the facilities onsite but we received a warm welcome on arrival and were very accommodating. We could see the pool and had a look at the small gym both looked looked good. The shower took a long time to run warm, but I was showering early, and the carpet was worn in places, but did the job of being a place to stay near my destinations.”
