“This was a fantastic place for an overnight stay. Centrally-located for the wedding we were attending in town. Incredibly clean and all staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. Really good vibes. Don't let the older facade put you off. Very newly renovated inside. Found the AC a little tough to get right but not a big deal. I'm an early riser (6 am) so would have appreciated earlier access (or in room access) to getting my tea but, again, not a huge deal.”

After some time on the phone with Orbitz, they put me in a very nice hoyrl down the street, but Motel 6 should not have let customers with reservations arrive at a site that is not operational with no notification.”

“Bait and switch! I thought this was part of the Budget Inn chain so I was expecting no frills but clean. This place had no maid service. No soap. No shampoo. Blood spatter on the bathroom ceiling. Lipstick (I hope!) on the washcloth. No bed springs - just a foam mattress on a piece of plywood and hard as a rock. Noisy AC which didn't work well. Toilet barely flushed. They didn't have the room with two beds I reserved, so they gave me an extra room at no charge, and then called me after 10 pm to……

The hotels. com site did not say this “hotel” actually functions as a college dorm from Sep-May. This should be disclosed up front, because it is not a normal hotel. It is a good deal because it is truly bare bones, as students have to provide their own supplies during the school year. Total bare bones means very economical, and……
