“We enjoyed our stay at the “Cabbage” for an extended weekend. The lake themed decor along with the functionality of items needed when staying away is great! It is so quiet and calm. We walked to the area where you can put kayaks into the lake. There were geese, ducks, and squirrels which made our dog happy. The General Store in the town of Lake is a must! You can find everything…fresh meat, produce, groceries, memorabilia, craft beers, wine…selection of all is amazing. The Pere Marquette walking……

“This was a perfect cabin for our weekend family getaway. My kids loves the bunk beds and the fact they had their own room. Beds were comfortable and the grey blankets were super soft and cozy to snuggle up in! The cabin is in a great location and was super easy to find. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we had a wonderful view of the lake from the front windows. Ken and Angelina were fantastic hosts and so easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!”

“My husband and I spent my 60th birthday here. It was perfect! The cottage is exactly as described and pictured. The owners were very quick to respond with any questions we had. It was a very comfortable place to stay and enjoy the beautiful Houghton Lake. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and had an absolute blast! We will definitely be coming back!”

“Our group really enjoyed our stay in the very secluded and peaceful cabin on the river. We were welcomed with a personalized greeting card and goods to make smores. Plenty of room for our group of 8 and nice mounted tv to watch golf after playing a round or two. Very easy and responsive communication with the owners prior to arriving made for a great experience.”

“This was our first visit to Saint Helen and we were there for a family member’s medical issues. This cabin was close to where we needed to be, so we booked it and then extended our stay by one day at the front end of the trip. We were disappointed to see the washer and dryer were broken, but the owner provided compensation for the incorrect property description and our inconvenience. It rained while we were there and hubby found water dripping through the roof down the kitchen wall and into the……

“My husband and I stayed here for four days. Property was exceptionally clean and communication with host was easy. I have been unfortunately under the weather so I really enjoyed laying on the couch with the cozy fireplace on watching Netflix. We did take advantage of the 70 degree weather and took our dog to Higgins lake and walked around the area.”

Higgins Lake was my mom and step dad’s favorite place to vacation. The cottage is very clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you need including the supplies for a campfire. The owner was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely love to stay here again! Everything was perfect!”
