“Bill was a very good host, helpful and interesting but not intrusive in any way so our stay was very peaceful in a green setting. The accommodation is very well equipped and the food provisions for breakfast excellent and including local products. Visitors have to be aware that the nearest town of several, Madoc, is 25km away but has all one could wish. ”

“The weather was cool and there was no wind during our stay. This made for perfect kayak and paddleboard weather: so many little islands to paddle around plus observing the loon family, kingfishers, grey heron, osprey and mink. We did swim in the lake many times...you can jump off the dock or wade in. There were few weeds. Kasshabog lake is beautiful. Woodview and Lakefield were great towns to visit and to get supplies. “This was an amazing vacation. Fire pit, lake and stars at night were my highlight. The cottage has everything you need and a town is just a few minutes away if you need groceries or do not feel like cooking :) This place is dog friendly and there is plenty of room for them to play and swim. “We had an amazing weekend at the Crowe’s Nest!! The cottage is beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you need. The lake is amazing and we had the best time swimming, hanging out on the dock, and enjoying the pristine location. Leisa was super communicative and helpful when we had questions. The only thing to note is that the steps down to the water might be a bit difficult to navigate for small children or those with mobility issues, but they were fine for us. Would highly……

“This was the perfect spot for a winter family weekend. Two hour drive for those of us coming from Ottawa and 3 hours for those from Hamilton. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. It was nice that there was a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. It allowed everyone to have their own space. The kitchen was well equipped, although we would have preferred a regular coffee maker, we brought coffee, but not Kreurig pods and not everyone got coffee on the last day.
