“Ken and Alejandra have built a mountain paradise. The accommodations are first rate and their grounds are amazing. The breakfasts are excellent with fresh grown and made foods. It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They are in the mountains north of San Jose. We had a rental car and no problems moving around. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Finca Paraiso!”

“With the San Jose skyline off in the distance, Finca Rosa Blanca provides a tranquil oasis from the capital. The farm to table cuisine is excellent. The rooms are unique and gorgeous with spectacular views. The staff is warm and welcoming. The pura vida coffee detox treatment at the spa combines a massage, a mini-facial, and a coffee body scrub. The complimentary coffee hour in the afternoon features the farm’s coffee, prepared however you wish and accompanied by delicious coffee cookies. ……

“This is a perfect property for travelers needing access to the San Jose Airport and many car rental companies. The property is gated, with street parking in front of the facility. The open kitchen allows guest access to use of fridge, microwave, coffee and water and eating area. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable with spacious bathrooms. No AC but ceiling fan in room. Note that this is a CASH only facility which caught me by surprise. The host was also gracious to allow us to drop luggage……

“We stayed coming into San Jose Airport 1 day and 1 day going out ..It is a nice property for a day or 2 ,not alot to see except for park and catherdral nearby..Our shuttle picked us up early in La Fortuna,so we arrived there early...We contacted by WhatsApps and he let us in to store luggage..We needed to use the bathroom bad and he told we had to find someplace else to use ..Rooms were not available ..We were are older and cant hold it like we use too lol..If it had been me i would have offered……

“The location was nice and we enjoyed the small farm. The staff was very kind and helpful. The accommodations were rustic but fine with us. We enjoyed the outside seating area. We would have liked to have hot water in the shower and the kitchen is pretty minimal. Small things like a cork screw & bottle opener would be nice. Breakfast was very good and we also enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant.”
