“Rooms are nice. Practical sesk with tea and coffee. Easy to work warm shower. Super breakfast options. Staff are all friendly. Will stay on a regular basis for work.”

“Found the hotel overall pleasant , i stayed one night i didn't have a very good night sleep found the very hard pillow was very uncomfortable, there was two off us staying in the room there was only one bath towel we had to ask for another and one cup . “We were visiting family, the hotel itself was lovely, room was a little tired, the walls were chipped and needed new painting. I was surprised about not having an option to decline the holding fee on the debit card when we advised we would pay as we go. It was made very clear that the holding charge was an option I could not refuse. ”

“I recommend the Black Horse. Very quiet and restful. The main building (pub & restaurant) is quite old and interesting with multiple levels and interior structures. The Garden Area was a delightful area for a pint and dinner, service was friendly as was the check-in. The grounds are sloped creating an inviting green impression. “Overall I had a pleasant overnight, restful night, bed really comfy, room and en suite clean. Room size I had was ok for one person. Good selection of tea/coffee etc plus biscuits. “Host Deb was friendly but this did not compensate for a room and house that smelt stale- a mix of dog and cigarette smoke. Keeping the windows open meant lots of noise from the busy road. Shower tray was blocked. Doesn't offer actual breakfast (as advertised) but was offered some toast. Generally poor experience.”
