“Lovely relaxing place to stay, good location to walk to the beach or into Shanklin and amazing views from the breakfast room, bar area and garden. Breakfasts were really tasty with a good choice of cooked and continental foods, juices and cereals. “The hotel is a striking and unusual building, very handsome, though we would have appreciated better signs - the rooms in the 400s, which had to be accessed through the library, were difficult to find when first arriving. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the location of the hotel, near the seafront sights (the Mary Rose museum, Nelson's flagship Victory, etc) and the ferry ports. Everything clean and well maintained.”

“Particularly if you're travelling with young kids, make sure if you book a pet-free stay you get pet-free accommodation. Dog hair everywhere in the caravan we stayed in with our 2 & 4 year old, which wasn't ideal, despite having booked pet-free. Caravan was lovely aside from that. ”
