“The door was not locked when we arrived. There was no instruction how to lock the door when you go for a walk. It would have been better if the cabin was not so close to the main drag. ”

“This location is very tucked away deep into a hilly little neighborhood. The driveway is steep for nervous drivers but for us it was perfect. The house was clean and well-kept. The bathroom was large for the space. We attended a wedding very close to the location so it was convenient.”

“I’m a mom of three kids, and told my husband that all I wanted for Mother’s Day was a night to myself, full of self care and good sleep. This cozy cottage was more than I ever expected. I loved the antiques incorporated into the decor and farmhouse feel. The bed was so comfortable and the outdoor environment was charming and inviting. The hostess was communicative and kind.”

“We had a family reunion with 21 people stay at Forest Cottage. There was plenty of space, our children ages 1-11 loved the “park” as they called it, which was the large, completely fenced play area out front which we could watch them play from the front deck or from the many windows in the house. The kitchen is very well equipped with many pots and pans, dishes, etc. There is a big closet with lots of family games. Plenty of bedding and towels are provided, as well as hand soap, TP, and paper……

“Beautiful property and wonderful host. Close property was well maintained and provided beautiful areas for lounging and picnicking. Plenty of room beyond that for exploring and hiking. The host was gracious and spent some time talking to us, however was not invasive at all and afforded us plenty time to ourselves. Really enjoyed the animals and meeting the desert tortoise. 100% will stay again in the future.”

“We visited with old family, and met new family in this quiet, beautiful location. The house had more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen was plenty big enough to cook for everyone, and there was even extra room in the fridge in the garage. We did have one minor issue with a water leak, but it was quickly addressed by the hosts who were incredibly responsive to all communication. I would highly recommend this host to anyone looking for a beautiful location in the Auburn area.”

“A quiet, private spot with beautiful farm views, within minutes of downtown Auburn and all the area has to offer. Perfect place to wind down, and have a soak in the hot tub after a day exploring the areas many trails. Highly recommend!”

The only thing to note is the kitchen is pretty empty - no staples and not a lot of basic kitchen items - no biggie, just something to keep in mind if you’re planning on cooking, like we were.”

“This home was amazing. The house truly fits it’s name. The scenery is breathtaking with views of the lake and river. The location was perfect with short distances to near by hikes and water sources, but also just minutes away from shopping and restaurants. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was more stocked with cookware then most places we’ve stayed. The communication with the property management was quick and efficient. We stayed here for my daughters birthday and when we arrived……

“Check in was easy and lots of places around to eat. Staff in the lobby brought us pool towels without asking.”

“If I had to complaint it would be, no Keurig coffee machine in my room. I think it’s wrong that it’s only in the Suites. Should be in all rooms. I understand why there’s no microwaves, but that still sucks as well. And the walk from the hotel room to the casino it’s a bit far but also a good exercise”
