We got to the hotel around 3:30 knowing check-in was at 4. The person at the front desk said "a member" had a late check-out so we would not be able to get into the room 'for another 2-3 hours. What?? If my check-in is at 4, I should be able to get in at that time! I paid $424 for my room, but I can't get in it! Then I asked her how they would compensate me, and she said she would "waive the membership fee". But because I booked with Travelocity, I will not be getting anything "waived". Since Fairfield Inn had already gotten paid from Travelocity, why didn't they give me cash back or give me some credit on a card that I would be able to use the next time I stayed at Fairfield. Well, they said they couldn't do that.
Very unhappy with the service. Around 7:30 p.m. we asked for some more towels, and after several hours we still had not gotten any. I called the front desk, but no one answered, so I went down to the front desk. They would not give me any but said someone would bring me some. This was about 10 p.m. Finally, after everyone was in bed, at 11 p.m. someone knocked on the door to bring us some towels!
Then the roosters started doing their thing at 4:35 a.m. We had our alarm set at 5:45 so we could get to a boat ride by 7, so we were unable to get breakfast, although they did let us get some cereal for our granddaughter.
Very unhappy with the whole experience.
