“Thoroughly enjoyed our night away, lodge was beautifully decorated with amazing attention to detail. Spotlessly clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable :) ”

“As advertised Patrick’s home is right on the water. It was great seeing Dolphins playing in the morning. We took the ferry with our car and it was great. The house was spacious and very clean. It takes a bit to get the various European electrical devises figured out but we managed well. The hiking in the area was fabulous. Pucks Glen is a must see for anyone. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.”

“We had a great stay with our daughter and her dog. Great apartment with a view of the sea, leisurely walk into Rothesay.”

“This property is a dump!! When we arrived it had not been cleaned from the previous rental. It is in a run down neighborhood in a run down building with many steps from the street to the unit. The bathroom was in poor condition aside from the cleanliness issue. Find something else, you have been warned!!”

“I had wonderful weather and the hosts could not have been more helpful. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Only 2 criticisms: the mirror in the bathroom should be a few inches lower. I am 5ft 2 inches and could only see the top of my head and pepper and salt would be very nice.”

“The cottage is in such a beautiful setting, there’s a bluebell meadow right outside the back door. There’s also a great dog field just a few minutes walk from the door. Very handy to give the dog a run around after a long drive! The cottage is very clean and tidy inside and very cosy. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the log burner as the weather was too nice - not something to complain about though I suppose! We will definitely look to come back in the near future. ”

“The place itself was very nice, the area, location, neighbourhood were great, super. Everything would have been amazing if there had been a normal level of clining, but that was quite poor.”

“We stayed for 2 nights. The photos dont do ths property justice, its absolutely beautiful. Rooms are big and comfy and Gordon has thought of everything. Weather was terrible so we spent time in the comfy kitchen and lounge watching the sea. Very peaceful but so close to everythimg you could need, shops, take aways etc We will definitely be back, the sooner the better. Shame Gordon cant guarantee the weather but he can guarantee you a lovely stay”

“Beautiful place, hosts are just lovely, so accommodating and friendly. Hot tub and pool are very relaxing with the best of views from the hot tub. Only downside is the road up but it's worth it”

“Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was bigger the we thought it would be. Lovely and clean with lots of outside space. Nice big new tv (we could get the dvd to work, need a different lead) but that was find as the weather was lovely so dint watch too much tv.”

“Such a beautiful location and cottage. Stayed in the Oak 2 Bed cottage and this was a home from home. They think of everything (including sachets of condiments). This stay was perfect for me, my partner and our 9 month old baby. The bedrooms are so spacious so plenty of room for a travel cot in the main bedroom with you or the 2nd bedroom. Waking up and opening the curtains to the views and the sheep was fantastic. We would definitely be going back.”

“I'm a single dad with two young boys. Our rental car blew a tire on a dangerous road a half an hour away from our stay. My international phone service wasn't connecting to the roadside assistance and we were stranded. I didn't know who else to call but our VRBO host. They took very good care of us. They got a taxi range for us and talk to my car rental company. Without their help it would have been a long long night. Very friendly. The place itself is cozy and reasonably close to the airport. “We spent a lovely weekend at Hollybank & can’t fault it at all. Enough space to either spend time in small groups or be together as a group of 8. Very well-equipped kitchen & loved the option for either casual dining in the open-plan lounge or the more formal dining room. Would happily return at any time.”

“Had an early flight and the hotel was less than 10 mins away. Gas/petrol station less than a minute down the street and just a convenient location. About 10 mins out is a shopping center so there are things to eat and buy. ”
