"This was a much needed vacation for my husband and we came along for the ride. Pleasantly surprised how amazing the view was to wake up too and during sunset. Also so close to many kid friendly activities that made my life easier as a mom. We didn't want to leave. Beds were very comfortable. Only negative was that the toilets kept auto flushing and made it hard for me to fall asleep. My family would definitely rebook a longer vacation here for sure and have more time to do everything. Well worth the 6hr drive."

"Will definitely stay again! Great location and views of ocean. Large and very well decorated home, spacious bedrooms and great pool! Walking distance to restaurants and pier. Decks are awesome and kitchen very nice with lots of cabinet and pantry space. Large dining table. Comfortable beds and EVERYTHING you would need for the beach…chairs, coolers, wagon, Spikeball, boogie boards, skim boards, etc. Gorgeous place!"

"We had the opportunity to get away for two nights and, as they say, salt water is great for the soul. The girls (9 and 12) loved the bunk beds and all the beach toys! Rita is a great host and everything. Was exactly as we expected it. No, actually, it was better than expected. We genuinely needed the getaway! "Booked this house for a family Mother's Day weekend getaway and it was perfect. The property was exactly as described and extremely convenient to the beach, as well as restaurants and shops in Kure Beach. Our dogs loved the fenced-in yard (we had to work overtime to keep our pug from eating all of the unripe blueberries), and all the extra little things at the house (like dog bowls, beds, bags) made it feel like pets are truly welcome! One minor thing for the awareness of future renters: The fenced-in yard is not directly accessible from within the house. This makes sense being the beach and wanting to avoid getting sand everywhere in the house, but I wanted to mention it since I do not recall it being mentioned in the listing itself (it could have been and I either missed it or forgot). Regardless, there is a gate right beside the door so we did not find this to be an issue beyond initial confusion as to access and a couple of really early bathroom requests. Overall we would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking and will keep it saved for future weekend getaways to the area!"
