"The room was very nice, friendly staff and the breakfast was wonderful. Location is excellent too. Our only complaint is the smell of the fish garbage from the adjoining restaurant that wafts into the hotel lobby. It’s not the hotel’s responsibility but they need to work out a solution with the restaurant owner or the hotel is likely to lose customers. "

"Perfect place to stay to explore La Rochelle. In the heart of the old town and surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops. A small supermarket is located nearly next door. Walking distance from the train station - less tha. 5 minute flat walk. Friendly staff, clean room with large comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Excellent breakfast available which we had both mornings. Only downside is there was no kettle in the room to be able to make a hot drink."

"The Campanile suited our purposes insofar as its situation. We were able to park the car safely and easily and take the bus into La Rochelle. "Hôtel Savary is a little jewel located in a quiet corner of La Rochelle. The staff here is unfailingly helpful, pleasant, and solicitous. The shoreline is an easy walk away, as is a boulangerie and charcuterie. The old city is a longer walk, perhaps 2 kilometers, along a beautiful avenue. My room, with terrace, was very comfortable. A park, and church with extraordinary bells, are nearby. I recommend this hôtel very highly."
