“A definite get away from the world escape, with Peak District walking to Robins Hood stride straight from the front door. Loads of breakfast food choices laid out and a very spacious property to chill in. ”

“It is situated in a quiet area and only a few minutes' walk from the centre, so it was ideal for us. It is a very clean house with everything we needed. As others have said, you need to take the owner's advice about how to park, but I got a Nissan Juke in and out of the parking space. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly when we had a query. We would definitely go back again.”

“The property was in an excellent position, well equipped and very clean. Communication with the owner was excellent when we did encounter a problem with the shower which was quickly solved. The outside patio area could do with a little maintenance to improve the overall experience as we spent a lot of time sitting and eating outside in beautiful weather and surroundings. We felt that the provision for recycling also needed improving but otherwise the whole experience was excellent”

“The cottage is cosy, comfortable and easy to live in. The location is beautiful and secluded with a lovely little village only a few minutes drive away. Plenty of things to do within a few miles drive and lots of walking. Jo, the host, is welcoming and very helpful. We were 3 friends catching up and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay although the weather was very windy and we had rain and snow showers so couldn’t make the most of the outdoor space. “Stayed here over the Christmas 2023 for 7 nights. As many reviewers have commented, the property is furnished to a high standard, with particularly comfortable beds. Some of the best we’ve had in a rental. The house is well located with views of Carsington Water and pub within walking distance. Lots to see and do within a short drive. “Good clean and comfortable hotel but it was a long trek to our room, i.e. up in the lift, then walk down a flight of stairs, then a long corridor, than down a couple more steps, then a walk, then down another 3 steps, then walk up a flight of steps, then another corridor. Probably because we booked the cheapest room. Hotel could do with another lift to the Annex.”

“Their service is great an warm. The receptionists gave us wise advices during snowstorm while showing care of us. The location is so convenience which allows us to drive there safely. We will definietly stay in this hotel in our next visit”
