Overall a very nice resort. One of the buildings was closed so there were not as many guest on the property during our stay which was nice… no long waits at any of the restaurants and there were plenty of lounge chairs available at the pool. My only complaints were that our room did not have a pull-out sofa as advertised which we needed for our sleeping arrangements and there was a 3 day wedding happening at the resort which closed the main swimming area off for us guests. Highlight of the trip were the staff. Margarita, Arnulfo, and Conrado at the buffet went above and beyond. They are amazing people!

Not the same Hyatt Ziva that I was accustomed to. I’ve stayed at this hotel over 6 times.
The good: The servers at the pool Genaro and Juan still the great service that I remembered.
The bad: The hotel is way too Americanized. I’m in Mexico so I want the Mexican traditional food.
Coco loco: change of menu. No fish tacos there you have to go sit down at the Cortez now. The aguachiles are only served as appetizers at the Cortez or Hacienda during dinner.
They have ceviche still but again not the same. They didn’t have a fruit cart come out to the pool area like before. They have the guys selling coco’s and shots of fine tequila.
Zaffiro: You would be able to get wood oven pizza from there during lunch time, Nope no more only during dinner.
The pool servers can only bring you food if you only rent a day bed or Palapa. If you are in a lounge chair it’s self service. You need to get up an get it, where is the All-inclusive.
Let talk about having breakfast or lunch at the Cortez or Zaffiro outdoor restaurants. Hyatt Ziva how about investing in fly fans for the tables. I know you had the before. I couldn’t enjoy my meals because I was fighting with the flies then eating my food.
Not the experience that I was used. To the ownership if it was broken why fix it. What you guys had before was working that’s why people returned a for me sometimes twice a year. I will explore new options.
