“The host was waiting for me at check in. Very friendly gave me a tour of the property and said "this is your home for the next few days your welcome to enjoy it all" Very clean and nicely appointed. Excellent location right off Main road. ”

“Bill was a very good host, helpful and interesting but not intrusive in any way so our stay was very peaceful in a green setting. The accommodation is very well equipped and the food provisions for breakfast excellent and including local products. Visitors have to be aware that the nearest town of several, Madoc, is 25km away but has all one could wish. ”

“The room was beautiful, giant king bed in own bedroom, nice big jetted tub in bathroom and everything u needed in the kitchen to cook your own meals and keep from eating out. Balcony was nice. 5 to 6 minute walk to parliament hill and 10 minutes to rideau mall. Only bad thing i csn say is mornings can be loud with garbage trucks.”

“This is a beautiful gem. I am extremely fussy and this unit did not disappoint. The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated. Supplies and dishes needed in the kitchen were spectacular as well as anything you could think of that you would need in the washroom. The host (Janeen) was outstanding and extremely friendly. Location: It is situated in an idea place, with the Coach house being it's own little house and separated from the main house. It means it's very private and like being at your own cottage. The river location is amazing, ideally located and easy to access. Amenities: Great Hot Tub with stunning view, Great Deck, Canoeing, Kayaks, Breakfast was AMAZING!, loads of outdoor……

Also super close (walking distance) to Crowe River Conservation area which was so nice. Would definitely stay here again!”

“We had to postpone our trip due to a COVID case, and the owner was extremely helpful and flexible with helping us get rebooked. We also had some questions throughout the stay and communication was always prompt and friendly. The itself property was very clean, cozy, and well heated (we went in November). A wonderful location, tucked away on a quiet lake but only about 10 minutes away from all the essentials (key because the water cannot be consumed). Would strongly recommend for any time of……

“This was the perfect spot for a winter family weekend. Two hour drive for those of us coming from Ottawa and 3 hours for those from Hamilton. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. It was nice that there was a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. It allowed everyone to have their own space. The kitchen was well equipped, although we would have preferred a regular coffee maker, we brought coffee, but not Kreurig pods and not everyone got coffee on the last day. Great property for snowshoeing……

“The location of the cottage is great. Stayed with our family and friends. Contains 2 renovated clean bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. The place has a lot of cons. The living room is really spacious, but does not have any AC. We had to open windows which do not have mosquito screens (there are a lot of mosquito). There is no dining table too. The recreation room has plenty of games (tennis, table soccer, mini basketball), but everything looks so neglected and damaged. But in general, the house……

“The weather was cool and there was no wind during our stay. This made for perfect kayak and paddleboard weather: so many little islands to paddle around plus observing the loon family, kingfishers, grey heron, osprey and mink. We did swim in the lake many times...you can jump off the dock or wade in. There were few weeds. Kasshabog lake is beautiful. Woodview and Lakefield were great towns to visit and to get supplies. The beds were very comfortable, each room has a ceiling fan. The kitchen……

“My friends and I just had our 2nd wonderful stay at the cabin. Absolutely stunning property, and the cabins are stocked with everything you could think of needing. Such gracious hosts, made us feel so welcome and let us know to ask if we needed anything. Will be doing round 3 next year”
