“Big Horse Inn is a hidden gem in this part of Illinois. It is perfectly located, close to Dickson Mounds (great hiking trails), Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge, and the Illinois/Spoon River area. “We recently enjoyed a long weekend at Ghost Hollow Lodge with multiple families and cousins. The property is very nice and very clean. It was well appointed with everything we needed. We were very surprised when we arrived that the prior owners stay there in a room off the kitchen and their son runs an outfitting business out of the connected shop area.
