“This location is tucked in to McKinleyville, and is spacious, clean, and quiet. It is located on the same property as the owners but that was no problem for me and my family. Also the driveway gets muddy when it rains, but otherwise the pace was great. Well equipped, clean, and cozy. Would stay again.”

Getting to feed the animals + the delicious eggs (we had eggs every morning) were wonderful bonuses. And location was great to explore the Redwoods.”

Check in and out was seamless and the house was perfectly furnished with kitchen and comfortable bed and chairs to relax in and enjoy the view of the surrounding woods. Close enough for day trips to explore the Redwood forests and tide pools with our 11 month old. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a simple, clean, and comfortable place to unplug.”

“We love this place, totally private and secret. John is the perfect host. The couple minutes it takes from town to the SBR… is amazing all by itself. The small secret beach was a bit slippery and muddy close to the bottom but we made it down. The deck is unbelievable and the room was really clean and nice. I would stay again.”

“Location was good for us. Home was well furnished and in a quiet neighborhood. Kitchen appliances are upscale and well stocked. And beds were comfortable. All the furniture was comfortable. Spa was very relaxing and water pressure in showers was good. Walking distance to trails and located close to national and state parks.”

“Our stay was so fun! There was room for everyone and the house is quirky-cool and comfy. We loved walking around the neighbourhood. We saw goats! chickens! Red lizards! Friendly, fluffy doggos. Everything we needed for cooking was available. The beds are cozy and the shower on the bottom floor is the bee's knees. Best. Shower. Ever.”

There were too many amenities to list, and the care and attention to details made us decide we would book this property again, with family next time. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a beautiful, & tranquil spot to stay along the Northern California Coast. FIVE STARS!!”

But over all it was a great place to stay for a few days. It might be a little tricky to find if you arrive after dark.”
