"We booked this hotel for the proximity to the Felison Cruise terminal. The hotel was perfect for our needs. Easy check in, spacious and clean room, great view, mini fridge worked, kettled worked, safe worked, separate room for toilet and one for the shower. We didn’t use the gym and the sauna room was locked. We assume it was not working. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel for dinner one night. The meals were very good and not overpriced. Service was excellent but a little slow at first. The staff were all great and spoke English very well. There are several restaurants located within steps of the hotel plus a little corner store that sold drinks, snacks, yogurt, hummus, cheeses, some baked goods, etc. There was enough there for us to have a quasi supper the night we arrived. We also bought fruit, etc there for breakfast before walking over to the cruise port. The beach was also two minutes away and went on for miles. We will definitely stay here again if a future cruise leaves from IJmuiden."

"Super location on the beach. Excellent view from our living room. The apartment was as described. Huge beds and bedrooms. Good airconditioning although the breeze off the North Sea was generally enough to keep the place cool. We had a massive thunderstorm while we were there so had to shut all the windows so the AC got a work out then. Good sized kitchen however there was no toaster and no iron although there is an ironing board. In one bedroom there was no hanging space for clothes in the wardrobe. Pillows seemed to follow the new trend of being excessively soft like a bean bag, so it would be great to offer firmer pillows in the wardrobe in case visitors necks can't deal with the soft ones! The only issues we had were check in - there is no actual reception desk so it was very confusing for check in and check out, as you have to go into the restaurant and it wasn't open while we stayed there. Roger was very helpful however 😀 Parking was good but space is very limited and tight. There are a number of dining options in easy walking distance from the hotel and many more a short drive away. We also drove to the city centre for the normal tourist sights and it is a short, easy trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we come back to Amsterdam!"

"Wonderful staff, check-in process super smooth, bicycle rental was a plus. Small room but used the space efficiently and none was wasted. Great rain shower and the view was interesting over the harbor. Located easily accessible to bus and bike routes and not far from the ocean. Definitely would stay again."

"Hotel itself was very nice, and the staff were very accommodating. A little disappointed with my room - run down in appearance, bed very uncomfortable, and there were dirty towels left in my bathroom. "
