“Very comfortable, well cared for and well equipped home, even if the layout is a bit strange. We loved sitting on the front porch watching the world go by. The host was most friendly and helpful. It is a convenient place to stay when visiting Lake James and we will happily stay here again.”

“This tiny cabin is adorable and perfect for 2 adults. What a great location for water fun and mountain hiking. We would come again:). I’m not sure how 6 people would do, perhaps if 4 are small children. Note that the loft is not big enough for an adult to sit up. This did not matter for us. We loved this cabin.”

“We had an amazing time at the farm. It was so relaxing and peaceful. We fed the horses, pigs, and donkey carrots. This was the perfect mountain get away for our family. This property is in the middle of so many fun places to visit. Plenty of things to do for everyone in the family. Dara was a gracious host and was easy to get a hold of anytime we needed. “I found this hidden gem by complete accident. I had planned a trip to Little Switzerland to enjoy the twisty roads in our sports car and I stumbled upon this listing. The only disappointment I had was that I did not stay there long enough. Because it was heavenly. The property is nestled on the edge of hill overlooking a gorgeous valley. We had plenty of space to park, roads were well maintained for those planning on bringing a low sports car. We a had a minor issue entering the neighborhood……

“The location was great, size was perfect, everything I could expect and more. The view was amazing. Bed slept well for my back issues. Had plenty of hot water when needed. Parking was at the front door so didn’t have to haul luggage very far. Neighbor was very friendly and informative about the area. Realtor answered all questions prior to arrival. I would definitely stay here again and have suggested this to others who may want to vacation in the Crossnore area.”

“ This property was beautiful. The cabin was well stocked extremely clean. The hot tub was hot clean ready to go. Plenty of towels. The kitchen was well appointed well stocked beautifully done very rustic. The beds were so comfortable and the blankets were heavenly. My kid loved the loft area, that’s where she slept. Plenty of firewood well seasoned plenty of fire starters. I would definitely stay in this cabin again. It was just so homey. Wi-Fi worked well even though who really wanted to be on……

“Great for 2 friends to get out in the country for fishing. Beds are clean and comfortable, and it even had Wi-Fi! Which was unexpected. Great little fire pit to sit around and watch the fireflies. Parking is a small challenge, we found it best to back up down the driveway and park halfway off the driveway to leave room has requested by the owner.”

“We stayed here for an anniversary trip and wanted to be close to everything but not in the middle of it all. This location fit the bill perfectly. You’re very close to neighboring cottages but it was QUIET throughout our time there. The host was very responsive, replying back to a question of mine within 5-10 minutes. “We had a good time in the cabin but there were a few hiccups. After a few attempts to reach the host we had to call while standing at the door to get the code. Some attempts failed due to no answer from them but mostly due to horrible service in the mountains, which they can’t control that part. Be sure to have the code before getting in the mountains. Once we were finally in, the house smelled like smoke, one bedroom upstairs particularly smelled of cigarette smoke it definitely was not from……
