“Lovely warm home, great quality linens etc. The home is a wee bit tired but beautifully presented. The view down to the water across to the ranges is amazing. We sat there in the afternoons into the evening marvelling at the change of colours and light. Well set up. Even has a coffee plunger (that gets a gold star as we do love our plunger coffee). “Nelson is a wonderful community, and this property is ideally located -- close to downtown, grocery stores, and nearby hiking. Shared bike/ped paths were also nearby for quick access. The unit has a couple of bicycles, and we used these as our primary in-town transportation. The kitchen is well equipped with a good complement of appliances. The garden is a quiet haven with lots of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. This place is a great find!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nelson at Alan’s property. Communication with Alan was a breeze along with check-in and check-out. The house was as advertised, well stocked and clean. The location was amazing, as you could be walking along the Maitai, wandering the Queen’s Gardens or brunching downtown in a matter of minutes. We will definitely be booking Alan’s property on our next visit.”

The host went above and beyond to accommodate us with our daughter making us feel settled right away. I have to say the bed was incredibly comfortable and really appreciated the high quality of the decor and items such as towels and linen. It really did feel like a luxurious weekend away.”

“This is a nice small bach, in lovely surroundings but there is no kitchen sink which means you have to do your washing up in the bathroom which is bizarre. Facilities include BBQ and microwave but no stove/kitchen”

“The property was very comfortable and generally met our needs. The shower was a little cramped and shower head kept flipping down. We weren't able to tighten the fitting. The narrow drive and tight turning circle into carport necessitated backing in or out for larger vehicle.”

“Nelson City Centre on the River is a splendid bach accommodation. There's lots of room for a large family or two families on holiday together. The bach is very comfortable, with all the amenities one would want to have in a holiday home. And the location is fabulous. The river walk is just outside the front door, and the city centre is a short walk away. We highly recommend this accommodation.”

“Stay was very good, shutting the restaurant at 8:30pm is fine but I was surprised ie as ask to leave the bar area. It’s common for cooking to stop but not the hole restaurant bar area to be shut down. ”
