“Great breakfast”

“This old farmhouse is beautifully renovated inside and very comfortable...an excellent place for a small family stay. The surrounding trees and underbrush create a private green space, while close to the main road, Collingwood and nearby stores and restaurants. The decks and porches are in need of updating and repair. It rained while we were there, so not much time outside anyway. The property is large and fun for children but needs gardening attention. “Our family loved our time at Brewster's Lake! The cottage was lovely and comfortable, with a beautiful view off the back deck, and a short walk to the water. There was lots to do, and the beach was just a short canoe ride away. The kids loved chasing frogs and snakes, playing in the sandbox, soaking in the hot tub, and roasting marshmallows by the fire. “Too old fashioned, cold, bathrooms tiny and ceilings very low so it got incredibly hot. Location was good for skiing. ”

“A great place for gathering and hanging out. Not fancy or pretentious. Loved the deck looking out over the countryside, the big kitchen where everyone tends to gather. Lots of good walking options. We managed to sleep 11 but not everyone gets a private room, which worked for us. We were also okay with the one full bathroom but that does require some coordination if you are a big group. “The "suite" was clean and the bed was comfortable. The male host extremely helpful. We booked the "suite" because the description said "separate sitting area" and this was very important to us. Sadly the sitting area was on a deck outside. Not very useful on a rainy October day! The room itself is not 450 square foot so we presume the deck is included. Nice sized bathroom. No chair to sit in for reading or tv viewing. ”
