"We had a wonderful time at Las Casas Velas. Perfect spot for good surfing, enjoyed yoga and the juice bar in town and the endless beach. Would highly recommend the chef for good, unfussy food and ease. Will be back!"

Jun 9, 2019Playa grande is a tiny town with maybe 5 places to eat. It’s 40 min to Tamarindo unless you walk down the beach for 10 min to a water taxi- then walk on the other side to the main strip. It’s just too hot to do all that.

Mar 29, 2019Bring nothing but comfy shoes, particularly ones you can spray off like plastic flip flops or water resistant shoes. We went during the dry season and it was very dusty so we had to spray down our shoes every day.
