“If you enjoy the real experience of a new place like I do then this is the place for your stay. Modest but well stocked with everything you will need and in a great location to get a real feel for the city. 5 stars and highly recommended for your Oakland Experience! Walking distance from pretty much anything you will need and not too far from the ferry landing if you want to bump over to SF for the day. The one minor extra I requested was granted quickly and graciously and I will definitely stay……

It was a quick weekend so we didn’t have a lot of time to just hang out in the cottage. Our overall impression with it was kind of cute and funky, but could have been a little cleaner.”

We walked to Trader Joe’s for food to have on hand and loved drinking our coffee on the patio before starting our busy days in Berkeley. Easy street parking. We slept so well in this quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay with this host again.”

“Great place to stay. Centrally located to lots of Bay Area places of interest, such as San Francisco and Napa. Very much appreciated the quick reply and communication with the host. Very easy and responsive to messages. Laundry, grill, outdoor space also available. Parking can be somewhat limited so worst case scenario would be a nice walk if needed. Host was very accommodating for an early check in as well given my early flight. My only suggestion would be to make the entry gate on the side of……

“The communication with the host in regards to the property and check in was excellent. The property was centrally located. I know the area well as I was visiting relatives and it suited my needs fine as a place to stay and spread out. Outdoor patio was a huge bonus, which I appreciated as a lovely space to sit and get some work done on the laptop. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend it.”

“Great and quiet location. Easy access to public transportation. The place is clean, communication with manager is easy and prompt. I'd suggest a little more warmth to the home, such as rugs, mirrors, plants as well as more hangers and benches in the bedrooms so we can place clothes and miscellaneous stuff at an easy reach! Also, the description says there's a futon couch in the living room, but actually it is just a sectional couch with unremovable cushions, which isn't perfect for comfort.……

“This place is well maintained. It's very clean, wonderful host and fabulous patio with gorgeous flowers. Having the second key was great since there were 4 different groups doing different things. A third or forth key would have helped slightly so each could do their own thing and not had to figure out how to get in. But the second key helped a lot. The whole place is very spacious and as are the bedrooms.”

“The home was a good size for 9 people with games, everyone was entertained. We didn't use the hottub or pool but they were also there. We really enjoyed ourselves & it was a quiet family neighborhood. It was near a lot of markets & not too far from napa for any wine tours folks wanna do. Would totally recommend. Only a few minor issues, pots & pans seem old or just not taken care of well so werent great for cooking. Beds were also very firm, so weren't comfy for most of us. The sofabed……
