“La chambre a une vue exceptionnelle sur la piscine et l’océan. Le lit est fait chaque jour mais pas d’aspirateur. Au bout d’une semaine, le sol n’est plus très propre. La baignoire présente des traces de rouillés et les flexibles de douche fuient de partout. Inacceptable pour un 4 étoiles.”

“We waren wat vroeger in het hotel en mochten gelijk naar onze kamer. Prima kamer met uitzicht op het zwembad en zee. Ik had bij de boeking gelezen dat we een welkomstdrankje zouden krijgen, dat klopte maar ik moest er om vragen. Toen we ‘s avonds naar bed wilden gaan merkten we dat aan 1 kant van het bed een rare geur was. Er is een kleed naast het bed en toen we wat beter probeerden om de geur te duiden, moest het haast wel een urinegeur zijn. Zo konden we echt niet slapen en we zijn naar……

“Etablissement où le personnel est serviable et respectueux du client. Propreté exemplaire. Un bémol. lors de l'arrivée le personnel s'adresse à vous en anglais alors qu'il connait votre origine. De nos jours il est si facile d'utiliser un traducteur ! Pas d'enregistrement de la carte bancaire, ce qui a entrainé de nombreuses difficultés lors des consommations. Dommage”

“Beautiful location and room - stellar ocean view. Room was clean and quiet. Balcony was fabulous. Very responsive and nice staff. Breakfast was very good, and dinner dining was above average. Spa services were very good. Great place to chill - since it is so peaceful and tranquil. ”

“Das Hotel war sehr gut und der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Innenstadt von Funchal ist per Fuß erreichbar. Der Garten und auch das Haus haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Terasse, wie auch die Inneneinrichtung sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal an der Rezeption und der Zimmerservice waren super nett! Im Restaurant war das leider nicht der Fall. Die Mitarbeiter waren bemüht, allerdings nicht sehr freundlich. Grundsätzlich hat es uns wie gesagt sehr gut gefallen und wir……

“nous avons passé un super séjour où nous avons été gâté du début à la fin (mousseux, vin, confiture/miel) !! Nous avons super bien dormi et le personnel est très accueillant ! Le meilleur hôtel de tout l'ile !! Nous recommandons vivement ”

“REally nice hotel. Good location. Only downside is parking is limited. Also, the restaurant was supposed to be open until 23h. We asked for food around 22h30 after our late arrival. But couldn't get anything anymore. For the rest nothing special to tell.”
