It was quite clear from their reply that they gave the room to someone else, so upgraded me to a modern room. Disappointing as I wanted the character of the old style room but that said, the room we were given was spacious and comfortable. Considering the price / value for money, I will not be staying here again ”

“Stayed in Room 14 for one night. Room very tired - headboard peeling in flakes onto pillows, furniture shoddy & worn. Toilet roll with 4 sheets left folded at end on holder to look nice in en-suite. Room in desperate need of refurbishment. Staff however were very friendly, courteous & professional. Nice meal/drinks at reasonable price in Restaurant. Price for room also reasonable. Would stay again but only for night or two.”
