“Pilhibit House is one of my favorite hotels, at least in India. I feel at home every time I am a quest to this marvelous property. I stayed at Pilibhit House this year and last year for MahaShivratri, as it is right on Maa Ganga in Haridwar, within 10-15 minutes walking distance to Har Ki Pauri Ghat. The property is beautiful, with an inner courtyard, right on Maa Ganga, with a private ghat for Aarties and pojas. The personnel is amazing. Everyone at the Hotel makes you feel welcomed and taken……

“We enjoyed this hotel the most on our entire 5 week trip to India. From the time we arrived we felt welcome. We loved the spiritual atmosphere very much. The restaurant staff were just as great. As westerners, we just can’t handle the spiciness of Indian cuisine, and the staff was very accommodating. They remembered to make sure we had food at every meal that was delicious. We enjoyed the Aarti at the main hotel as well, but liked the atmosphere of Holy Water better. We can’t say enough good……

“I do not understand how did anyone give it an 8 in reviews. The hotel was in a hidden street. There was no lift. But the shocking part was the room we got smelled pungent of mould/fungus. It wasn't clean either and when we complained they said its because it was closed n they didnt have any other room. We had to ask for basic soap and a sitting low stool for bathing as there wasnt any. The bedsheet were off white with oily stains. We were so tired after a long journey but still we couldn't sleep……

“Great for the price but you get what you pay for. Its acceptably clean, comfortable and safe. BUT very noisy, congested, dirty location. If you like or tolerate Indian grit, noise pollution and chaos, then this is the place. If you seek serenity and the calm of the Himalayas and the Ganges River, spend more money and look elsewhere. ”

“The Hotel has become quite old. There were water droplets on walls due to moisture. They dont provide stool to sit while bathing. which is must for elders. The AC is centralized but time to time it is not effective in cooling. only plus points are big room, hotel is in the main market. all ghats are within walking distance. so recommending this hotel to all”
