“The cabin was in a pretty location on the side of a small lake — but the location doesn't match that on VRBO which states it's in La Fortuna town. It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. The owner offered us a lift into La Fortuna on our first day, but beyond that we had to keep booking Ubers which also were quite unreliable. The cabin was nice but could do with a bit of upkeep —……

Laut Karte von Fewo-Direkt ist sie am Stadtrand. In Wirklichkeit aber eher 10 Minuten Autofahrt von La Fortuna entfernt. Wer morgens zu Fuß in ein Café oder abends in eine Bar möchte, hat schlechte Karten. Vom ersten Kontakt bei der Buchung bis zur Abreise: der Vermieter war jederzeit erreichbar und stand auch für……

The house has one master suite with a spacious bath on the top floor with views of the Arenal volcano on a clear day. The second floor has three bedrooms with a shared bath. “We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Castillo. The terrace had an amazing view of Arenal volcano, and we saw so many birds in the backyard. It was amazing to have coffee in morning and watch clouds roll through valley and listen to birdsong. The location is convenient for getting to Fortuna and nearby parks for hiking, but Castillo feels much more quaint and quiet for enjoying peaceful evenings.
