“We squeezed a trip up to the national parks during a trip to see family in LA, so we only had two nights. We arrived and immediately wished we had more time! The cabin, the creek behind it, the trails adjacent — everything was twice as beautiful as we imagined. The owners are thoughtful and gracious. We truly appreciated this little bonus gem.”

“The cabin is so cozy and clean, we loved it. Peaceful, quiet woodsy area with a great nearby saloon for delicious food, nice people and a pool table! But if you’re planning on cooking bring your own olive oil and spices & cinnamon for your oatmeal because the cabin didn’t have those”

“The giant windows in the living room are dramatic and luxurious. Beds were comfortable. Carpets and living room furniture are starting to show their age but not bad. Kitchen is adequate but some of the pots and pans are also well used. Shower drains were just a little slow in two of the three. Overall a fantastic place.”

“This cabin is wonderful. It had all of the necessities and a few touches that made it homey and comfortable. Right next door is the owners market and grill. It has great food and everyone treats you kindly. I love that this cabin is pet friendly (the owner, Peter, has a heart for animals himself). I look forward to staying here again.”

They had toys available for my toddler, and two tv rooms, which was god sent for my teenagers. Everything was clean, and it just made us all feel like home. “It was a nice quiet stay, the owners live in the property, but they stay in their house, they didn't bother us. The property was clean and our kids had fun, they had board games, and toy provided, and a trampoline outside that our kids were allowed to used”

“I booked this for my family so we could visit Sequoia. It takes about 45 mins to get to the park. There is a great bar/restaurant close by (Pinehurst Lodge). While on the property we saw a red newt and some frogs. We saw wild turkeys driving to the park. The jacuzzi was very nice. Started out cool but heated up for the next night. It was very clean with tons of extras-lots of snacks, tea, coffee that my kids loved. We had a fire the first 2 nights but couldn’t have one the next night due to……

“Clean, convenient location, cozy. Easy to get to with 4x4 in snow. Convenient parking. Large kitchen and living space. Will definitely rent this cabin again. There is no clothes washer, but there is a dry. Clothes washer not needed, but shown in the listing and wasn't there when we stayed.”

“This property is a lovely rustic place with hiking trails and a beautiful creek! It is very close to Kings Canyon and the cabin is charming with an updated modern kitchen. We enjoyed our stay!”

“Cute cabin, quiet location. Shaver lake itself is beautiful but unfortunately the shoreline had a lot of trash. Beer cans, cloths, dirty diaper. Very sad and disappointed with the lake area. Just hung out at the cabin and played games.”

“This VRBO-makeover is nicely appointed, spacious (sleeps 6 or more!) and conveniently located near the middle of town. Don't plan on using the "carport" unless you're driving a pickup truck or SUV. Access to carport is via a one-lane asphalt alley that has a steep dropoff. Alternative: park on the shoulder of Hwy 168 and schlep your bags up 15 stairs. ”
