The tropics certainly have more bugs! But generally, Hotel Caretta was a nice stay. The hot tub was nice, along with the breakfast. The pool was not heated. "

"A fantsstic little hotel right on the bluff above the beach. Super room--clean, comfortable, wood floors, a little balcony overlooking the sea. Delicious Japanese food, both breakfast and dinner, and Ryuku musicians played at dinner. Great staff. I loved this place. "
