“A group of family members from three states stayed at Battle Rock for the Thanksgiving holiday. The location was perfect, the house was perfect, and the weather was perfect. The setup of the house was ideal for our group, beds and chairs were all very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well suited for multiple big meals being cooked by multiple people at the same time. “This home looks just like the photos. Everything is in perfect shape and our friends liked the beds so much they decided to buy the beds online before they left. I would def recommend this property to anyone that just wants to relax and chill. Only downside is that Port Orford doesn’t have a lot to do.”

“The location of the property is awesome. It's on the river and right down the street from the hatchery which is a popular drop in spot for fishing on the Elk River. Kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking tools and utensils you need. Great place to stay.”

“The property was wonderful for my wife, our new-born daughter, and dog. While we got the opportunity to experience all weather (rain,hail,sunshine) we took full advantage of the outdoors. It was lovely, we hiked 5min down the road to the beach, we noticed tracks and animal droppings but sadly saw no wildlife except some birds. We didn’t get to enjoy the fireplaces as all the wood was damp, I would recommend bringing fresh wood! Luckily, central heating worked fine. The beds were comfortable and……

“We enjoyed this property very much. It is well stocked with towels, kitchen utensils, a hair dryer, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, laundry soap. The ice maker, dish washer and laundry all worked well. Hot tub was very clean and warm. The location can't be beat in Port Orford. We walked most anywhere we needed to go. The grocery store is a short drive. This is a well laid out house. If you want to go to bed early, the master bedroom is far enough away from the living room to cut down……

“The inside and back yard were great, only wish the backyard was fully fenced so my dog couldn't escape. The retro features inside were super cute. I play the fiddle so I noticed and loved the fun fiddle decor. The place was clean and furniture comfortable. I appreciated the books about local hikes, flora and fauna. The location to town, Redfish Restaurant and Battle Rock Beach were stellar.”

“The house is in a great spot. Things were clean. The bed in the main bedroom is quite worn out and saggy, the washing machine didn’t work and the ramp down needs some grip tape put on it. My girlfriend slipped and fell really bad. She wasn’t seriously injured but was bruised and sore the rest of the trip. I informed the property manager about the washing machine and only got a generic response from Vacasa.”

“Stayed for a month. We love the Oregon coast, and this property gave us access to so much! We hiked the cape and point trails at the coast guard station numerous times, as well as, other trails up and down the coast. Found lots of agates. Deer came through our yard sometimes twice a day, and we watched them through huge picture windows. This property was remodeled by someone with superior style and carpentry skills. The upstairs loft area is spectacular.”

“Very cute little cottage part way up a hill with a fantastic view of the bay from either the balcony or just propped up on pillows while laying in bed. A public access beach is two short blocks away. Beach is very dog friendly and not crowded at all. The town is very sleepy but there are a few good places to eat. The crazy Norwegian serves really good fish and chips, and the Redfish restaurant has excellent food and a great view. Make sure to get reservations though.”

“Deer present and the trees surrounding the property were just beautiful. Kitchen had almost everything needed to make just about anything. Rooms were spacious and beds comfy.”
