“The location is good as it is directly linked to the mall. The overall service is average in all areas except the restaurant! You will get angry at the early morning during queuing up for the breakfast buffet. The receptionists (one tall & thin and the other is a bit fat) of the restaurant are always in very bad temper and not polite. We have stayed here for 6 days and observed that they have made all different countries guests get angry before settling down the table. I think they are not……

“The service we received at the TAJ was exemplary. We booked the TAJ based on previous stays at 2 locations in India and are so glad we did. We were immediately greeted on arrival. The staff took charge of our numerous pieces of luggage and our reservation was pulled up while we were offered a special tea and then whisked away to our room. The staff were outstanding, the rail carriage rooms were stunningly beautiful with a full side of windows to enjoy the beauty of the river and its visitors. We saw elephants with minutes of arriving at our room. The early morning and afternoon safari drives were amazing. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Thank you to Fanni and Geoff that took great care of in the dining room and to our guide……

All staff were so friendly and accommodating in the hotel, bar and restaurants. The spa is a must and one of the best massages ever. Look forward to returning in the not too distant future. ”
