“My Husband and I stayed here one night as we passed through on our way home to Missouri. It was very cute and clean. The outhouse was not bad at all. We took to the hike to the lake and explored the beach before coming back to the cabin. Warming up soup for dinner that we brought and reading some books that were n the cabin. The weather was perfect and the fireplace made it nice in the evening and throughout the night. We visited May 29-30, we saw deer turkey and as we left a black bear was on……

“I LOVED the Sunrise cabin! It was camping but with a few amenities that made the experience much better than sleeping in a tent. Very peaceful and quiet and only a 10 minute walk to Lake Superior. The showers in the lodge were an added bonus. I definitely will be back and have already shared with friends, encouraging them to check out this awesome place!”

“An amazing roomy clean and well stocked rental for a large group. There was 18 ppl (5 families) and never once did we feel crowded. Beautiful home, yard, beach. “This worked perfect for our family and our stay, especially with our hound along for the ride. We’d like to return in the summer months to better be able to explore the trails. The one difficulty was the lack of heater in the cabin necessitating use of space heaters. While the cabin remained warm enough I was under the impression there was more centralized heating. Other than that we had no issues and really enjoyed our stay!”

The one thing I would say is that the bathroom is a shared space with the other cabins on the property. I did not see this listed in the description, but it wasn’t really an issue for us; just good information for future guests!”

The views of Lake Superior are spectacular and being able to hear the water on the shore all night long makes for excellent sleeping. We've visited Duluth many times and Pumphouse has become our favorite place to stay. We look forward to our next visit.”

“We had a small group of guys that wanted to do a golfing and fly fishing trip. Staying at Lester River Pines was the perfect spot for us. Beautiful chunk of land with a deck that provides beautiful sunrise views over a pond. We particularly enjoyed the large kitchen as it was easy to work in while cooking. There were towels and toiletries laid out in every room and the house was very clean. From start to finish our experience was top notch and we will definitely look to book here again in……
