“It is an older hotel which I knew beforehand, and chose it. It is an historic hotel, as such does not have the same amenities as a new hotel, however there isn’t a “new” hotel in Rothesay. The room was a good size, bright with large windows….I had a great view of the bay. Staff were excellent, breakfast was very good, lots of options. I had dinner at the hotel twice, food was excellent, service good, prices reasonable. The maitre’d was excellent, very well trained in his role and as a result was……

“Handy for Rothsey, and a lovely old building. My room was facing the harbour and an interesting view. Tired in places, chair was very wobbly, and doors etc as you would expect in a property of this age. However, the retro-fitted en-suite was good, and nice and clean. Felt like carpet had not been hovered. The Scottish breakfast was nice and not too overwhelming. Just right. The guys running the place were really friendly and polite.”

There are so many places within walking distance to see and enjoy in the area. The people who lived on the island are so very kind and gracious! Absolutely stunning home! Full of jacobite history for those Outlander fans! It was the best vacation i could have ever wished for!”
