“I recommend the Black Horse. Very quiet and restful. The main building (pub & restaurant) is quite old and interesting with multiple levels and interior structures. The Garden Area was a delightful area for a pint and dinner, service was friendly as was the check-in. The grounds are sloped creating an inviting green impression. “Average old hotel. Large room with good size bed. Bathroom was small and the toilet took forever to refill making a noise for ages after a flush! Breakfast was good - full English breakfast with plenty there. Friendly staff who were very helpful. The parking is tricky - you need a local app to pay, there are no machines at the front of the hotel for your permit! We had to park down the street in the meter parking area until 9pm. Then parking was OK without a permit until 11am at the front of……
