"I was in a superior room. Breakfast more than adequate. Parking around back which is always good in towns like this. City parking is expensive (30 a day). Very handy to everywhere in town . Has all the mod cons in the room. "

"Great food. Loved the stairs! We were up on the top floor, so it was quite a workout. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The road was noisy, but—heck—it’s at a junction in the city centre, so . . . Not a fan of the Royalists, but hanging out where Charles I reportedly stayed was charming."

"This is a fantastic hotel. The location is as convenient as anywhere we have ever been. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and big. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Sitting out overlooking the river was a delightful experience and belied the fact that we were within a few hundred yards of the town. We could have been deep in beautiful countryside. We would and are recommending t to anyone"

"We stayed here as we wanted a night away and judging from the reviews decided to give it a try. On checking in to our room the radiator was on and the room was very hot. However we went to the restaurant for food and spoke to LYNO the manager there. He checked the radiator and unfortunately it was faulty. He moved us room and for the inconvenience gave us an upgraded room which was perfect really made our night even more special and enjoyable. The food was wonderful, a great vibe in the restaurant, the waiter was lovely and a really helpful cheerful bloke. Then we sat outside for a bit drinking wine in the scenic area. Would 100% recommend here and would to stay here gain. "

"Superb hotel, I would give it 10 out of 5 stars ! Food is superb. Fluffy towels, very comfortable beds with super linens. Staff so so helpful. Breakfast was fabulous and the spa is outstanding. Location is just beautiful, with gorgeous views and walks. Thank you for such a wonderful stay."
