There are many stairs in the hallways to rooms that do not have handrails which is dangerous, and maybe illegal. This is real easy for the hotel to fix and a great hotel should correct that. "

"If you are lucky enough to stay with Carol and all the lovely folks at the Alltavona Guest House, it will live in your memory like a beautiful dream. My room was so gorgeously decorated, I thought I was in an Agatha Christie novel (minus the murder, of course) where a lucky woman stays by the seaside in an Art Deco fantasy (greys, whites, metallics, nature, art, impeccable taste and style) and looks out at Oban Bay and never wishes to leave. "Very nice location in the middle of the Highlands. Be aware that like most of the Highlands, there is not much in terms of places to eat. The hotel sent me an email asking if we wanted reservations for breakfast and dinner, but did not specify the hours of operation. I asked them via email, they did not respond. Like most places here, old buildings do not have elevators/lifts."
