“One thing I wish could have been different was the breakfast. I wish it was more like a continental breakfast and not like a Starbucks. There should have been traditional breakfast options and it should be included with the purchase of the hotel stay. I wasn’t a fan that we had to pay for the breakfast in addition to the stay. It should be included. ”

“The Celeste has such a rich and interesting history which was incorporated in the renovation to a hotel. Wonderful area with a lot of interesting sites in walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay - the Celeste is now our favorite St. Paul Hotel.”

“I really liked the location of this hotel, right by the train and University. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The bed was not very comfortable, and the door to my room rattled when anyone else nearby shut their door. But I wasn’t in the room much, so it really didn’t bother me a lot.”

“The continental breakfast was okay. I was in Minneapolis the whole week and had stayed 4 hotels. This one is the most expensive but their breakfast is like America Inn offered. Most time the front desk put poker face and if there was two people, they were just talking with each other. The last night we stayed was awful because there was no hot water for shower since 5pm. I called front desk and they said they have someone to take care of it but no one called back to explain the situation. At……

“Lily the bartender on Sunday night may have had a bad day but management shoud remind her not to take it to work. Heather on the flip side is a gem and could be a marvelous role model. ”

“Noisy air conditioner. Noisy from 2nd floor. Noisy from hallway. Housekeeping said she needed to finish ours by 11AM, end up with only clean towels only. ”
