"Good view of the harbour, close to many shops, room heat and shower both good, bed was comfortable, restaurant was great for dinner, good for breakfast. A bit noisy during the day from the adjacent street, but quiet at night."

"We had a very enjoyable and restful 5-night stay here. The accommodation was very comfortable and in a convenient location for getting around the island (and travelling to others), while being nice and quiet as well. It's a shame that the restaurant is currently out of action but there are plenty of options in quite easy driving distance (although we would advise booking ahead, as a lot of them were quite sought-after). And an excellent breakfast was laid on (and a packed meal for the day of our early departure) by the very helpful staff. Also, there's a well-stocked Asda just across the road. It was a lovely holiday and we're very grateful for the opportunity to visit such a wonderful place. "

"Very clean, modern and comfortable house. Very warm, light and spacious. Everything you need is provided including a lovely welcome basket of local produce with beer and wine. The house is a short walk from the town and equidistant from Kirkwall harbour and Scapa Beach, with both distilleries in walking distance. Sarah was available to answer any questions without being intrusive. We loved every minute of our stay, from the fabulous local food and drink to Neolithic sites, nature reserves and refreshing walks. We’ll be back!"

"came for another wonderful trip to Orkney. Accommodation was good with plenty of room. Felt it could benefit from a 2nd toilet/bathroom. the rooms were very spacious. more wardrobe /hanging space would be good in twin rooms. The dishwasher and washing machine were both very clean as were the bedding, which was on comfortable beds. We were very pleased with this choice and would be happy to stay here again. Sadly, while we were there, muck spreading was in progress, however, this didn't impact on the aroma of the property. it was strange having the living room and kitchen so far apart, however the comfy chairs in the dining end of the kitchen, this made it feel comfortable. If its windy, the wind can be very strong, so care might be needed when opening car doors. parking was good, right outside the door"
