“The pictures in this listing completely misrepresented the neighborhood. We only spent about an hour in the VRBO but didn't feel safe there for several reasons. First of all, the room wasn't secure because it was opened up to the neighborhood through the upper floor that let out to the fire escape. Second of all there were large groups of people in the streets having block parties that made us feel like our rental car wasn't safe from vandalism or burglary. “If you want to stay a bit outside the city, but easy access, this apt is perfect. Literally 5m walk to Metro North, and express train is 37m into the city. Apt was very clean and like that each bedroom/bath is on opposite sides of the apt. Easy communication and prompt responses! Building is nice too, has some fun things to do when weather isn’t great. My stars on the review are just because I couldn’t leave a review without checking them off. “The spot was a good 2 bedroom apartment nice for a place to stay when we were visiting family nearby. It had everything we needed for a quick overnight stay. A few things to know for future visitors are that: 1. Getting to the second bedroom, in the attic, was steep with no railing steps (even steps to get into apartment were tight/steep and could see it being difficult for some) but being younger made it ok to get up and use 2nd bedroom. 2.
