We particularly want to thank Hannah for moving breakfast up a half an hour, so that we could get to the UVM graduation on time. She went out of her way to give us a full breakfast, on short notice. "This could not have been a more wonderful stay. The manor house is beautiful as are the grounds. The deck overlooks the lake with a lovely path that leads to a dock. Breakfast on the deck was simply joyful. The rooms are well appointed and very clean and tidy. Breakfast was home cooked with fresh and local ingredients. Bring a bottle of wine with you for an evening taking in the fresh air and lake views. The owners are lovely and have thought of everything their guests will need. This is a must...

"Bud was very hospitable and overall great! Externally, very aesthetic and inviting. The interior can definitely use some TLC, but it really also depends on your expectations. It’s a country house so don’t expect anything lavish or over the top. Another reviewer wrote that it’s like staying at grandma’s. Couldn’t agree more. If you like trendy and fancy, this is not the place. If you like rustic, quiet and low key- this will do the job. We enjoyed our stay. "

"We had a nice stay at the Mt Philo Inn. The hosts are so lovely and super accommodating. The East Suite is spacious and homey. It would be perfect for a family. We were given a perfectly curated basket with all the fixings for a Vermont breakfast which we greatly appreciated especially on this snowy weekend. The location is wonderful if you’re interested in hiking as you can walk right to the mountain which we loved. The hosts even supply sleds for a bit of winter fun! "

"Excellent breakfast! Sitting room available for guests was comfy with coffee/tea and delicious homemade cake. All very clean. Our room was small with little area for luggage. Hot/Cold water was reversed, but without my glasses on in the bathroom I couldn't read the script cap on the faucet. We ran the water for quite a while before we figured it out. Randy very knowledgeable about the area and a wealth of information on Stowe and environs. Would definitely stay here again."

"I chose this location because it was right on the water, and pet friendly, prerequisites for our vacation choice. The house is beautiful inside; clean, roomy, and perfect for our family size and gathering. We were celebrating my 70th birthday, and it could not have been a more memorable experience.
