“The home was in tip top condition. New everything, including hot tub, appliances, all beds and pillows (high end excellent quality). It truly makes for a better experience having peace, quiet, clean and comfy bedding. The owners were truly a blessing, living nearby. They were the definition of true southern hospitality. “My wife and i just celebrated another anniversary in Carova Beach at this beautiful home. The home is in immaculate condition and has all the necessities for a great holiday. The beach is also clean and is perfect for sunning, walking, sandcastles, fishing. You absolutely need 4x4 to get there and that is another experience you will remember. The hot tub and grill, also very clean, and we're used each day. I didn't bring my kayak, but will next time. Lastly, the wild ponies are very cool. No……

“We were a family group of 7. There was plenty of room for all of us to stretch out, relax, sit, sleep, and eat. The house was well appointment, fully stocked kitchen, clean linens, plenty of towels, plus extras like trash bags, paper towels, coffee filters, soaps and such. The owner was quick to respond to questions and communicative. The hot tub was clean and hot. From the pictures it appears that the neighboring house has windows that look out toward the hot tub, but those windows are false so……

“The management company, particularly Barbara, was very helpful and prompt in replying to all questions. Five stars for this! The house was spacious and accommodated our group of 13; however, the house is in need of updating. The dryer went out during our stay but was repaired but all appliances need to be upgraded. Pressure washing is needed for the exterior as we were unable to use the outdoor furniture due to the bird droppings and spider webs. Carpet is also in need of replacement. Although……

“My friends and I stayed at the starfish retreat this past weekend. It was nice but we were not given any trash bags so we had to use food lion bags to throw our trash away. The hot tub was a bit dirty and we wish they had a few essential items that are normally needed when you stay at a beach house for a few days. The location was fine and close to the beach and the house was nicely decorated.”

“House was amazing. Just what a family needs. Getting to and from the main road is another story. Having to leave air out of your tires and then putting air back in your tires each time you have to go on the main road is a hassle. Also watching the tide schedule is important. You can’t just jump in your vehicle and go somewhere. You have to have a plan. Plus it’s not just you on the sand. We wanted to try it. Sooo now… been there, done that, don’t need to go back.”

“Pamela's voh18 was perfect for an extended family getaway. We had 16 guests (8 adults and 8 kids). Everyone had a bed to sleep in and there was plenty of room for everyone to gather upstairs or do their own thing on one of the lower levels. The location to the beach and the 4x4 beach were great! Definitely recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle if you don't already have one to drive on the beach, that was the highlight of the trip for the kids. I'd give the house a 4.5 if i could, the one drawback was……

“My husband and I stayed with our two dogs and regretted not staying two weeks! The home was very cozy. We stayed in the king bedroom and the bed was so comfortable (this is always important to us because my husband has back issues). The weather was in the low 60s the first few days but we didn’t mind because the pool was heated and so amazing to swim in and the hot tub was perfect! The walk to the beach was short so that was good! We got a pass to drive on the 4x4 beach with our Bronco and saw……

“The location and property itself were absolutely fantastic. It had everything we needed and then some and what it didn't have we were able to pick up at the grocery store less than a minute away. It was very clean and spacious we absolutely loved it!”

We saw dolphins and the horses came right up to the house on more than one occasion! Even the beach driving was a fun experience that I already miss.
