We booked it to celebrate our wedding anniversary but encountered a misunderstanding about the property facilities at the beginning. “We had a wonderful 30 day stay at The Sailors Rest. Well equipped home away from home. Paloma the dog loved the walk through the forest to the close by off leash park where she made lots of friends. The hot tub was well maintained and was a lovely end to the days after exploring Duncan and the Cowichan area.”

“This was a perfect spot from which to explore more of Vancouver Island than just Victoria. We are glad we found you! We hiked above Maple Bay to great views of the area. We had a beautiful day to walk the wide beach east of Parksville, then the beach walk at Qualicum. The rental was more than adequate for all we needed. The waterfront was calm and very pleasant. We watched animals, birds, boats, and the occasional sea plane. Thanks for making this spot available!”

“Enjoyed our stay. Great amenities, we used the bbq, hot tub & yard was big & fenced. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor space which included a fire table & a outdoor covered seating area looked really nice. Hopefully, next time when the weather is warmer. Host was kind & we would definitely stay here again.”
