“It’s a nice hotel in need of some investment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, but the restaurant was unbearably hot, air conditioning is required or at the least the ability to open windows for fresh air. Thank goodness there was a conservatory where you could have dinner. ”

“Very accommodating and made to feel very welcome - the room had everything you would need for a 1 night stay - decor very dated in need of a bit of paint - had a great shower - en-suite dated but spacious - bedding was clean and crisp - bed was hard so not for us but could suit someone else. Cheap and cheerful - breakfast was great - very friendly all round ”

“Stayed over for one night passing through on a cycling trip. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful storing and charging our bikes. Only open for B&B but fortunately the local tearoom opens on weekend evenings for meals. Well stocked community shop next door and community pub at the end of the street. Great village and area.”

“This reservation was only partially completed. Left quietly. One small bedroom with a macerating toilet. Personal space minimal and expectations of hosts seemed family-like. Not a comfortable situation for me.”

“Charming cottage style flat well decorated with interesting local art and great views out to the harbour and castle. TV a bit tricky to set up for local news and difficult to remove subtitles on bbc iPlayer. Bathroom a bit cold at times and not on same floor as bedroom and lounge. In need of some painting to upgrade. Otherwise very convenient for all amenities.”

“Location of the cottage may be too remote for some but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With the cottage set in a walled garden it was fantastic for letting the dogs out to play. Would highly recommend”
