“Nice place to stay -read the reviews - only there for one night -- didn't use any of the amenities. The one down side was they charged $5 to park which caught me off guard - not a lot but the first time for me to ever have to pay for overnight parking when I was a paying guest. ”

“The property and room was clean. Parking was amazing. The bed was very comfortable too. Cons - The toilet ran nonstop. The soap was out. When I advised the front desk, i was told housekeeping would replace it when they came in but he wrote down my room and out of soap on a piece of paper. When I came back 4 hours later, I was told housekeeping comes every other day and I could replace it myself. ”

“The customer service at the hotel was excellent. The room was lovely and has a beautiful view of the river. They do have some construction going on around the hotel, but it wasn’t a problem. I would definitely stay here again!”

“It is a one story small inn with probably < 20 rooms. But the room is super clean, looks very new, floors and furniture are all like new. Very well accommodating. 1 block (3-5min walk) to public beach, In a safe, shaded and quiet residential neighborhood. The receptionist is very nice. Parking is free. There are very good seafood restaurants within 3 miles. Also Harris Teeter within 10 min walk. Very nice place to stay.”

“This stay was during a conference that was being held at the hotel ALSO during graduation weekend and there was no restaurant available for lunch on Saturday which led to having to leave the property and fight grad traffic to find food. Suggest you staff restaurant next year if this occurs. Food for thought (pun intended).”

“With the on time shuttle plus a substantial breakfast our trip ended magnificently by staying here. Every one of the staff we interacted with was helpful and kind plus the room was excellent; quiet, clean and comfy. Anyone needing respite in the Norfolk area can easily call this their hotel home. ”

“This was my second time staying here and my room was what was expected. The ac worked great. Room was clean. You could tell that there may have been water damage on the ceiling where the patch job wasn’t the greatest in the bathroom. The room was very comfortable and a very good price for the stay. Love the dove shower stuff as well. Will definitely be staying again when In town.”

“Everything was very good- only problem is the bath tub wouldn’t drain. So, taking a shower was a bit challenging. Thankfully, I had 2 rooms. ”
