"What a wonderful home away from home! Our room was just perfect. Nicely designed, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We enjoyed a bottle of wine sitting on the dock while taking in the beauty of the lake. Nicole was extremely welcoming when we arrived & very sweet. We even got to meet the furbabies who greeted us with wagging tails & doggie smiles. We will definitely be staying again in the future. If 10 stars were an option we would rate this rental as a 10!"

"For our anniversary trip, I wanted to stay on Main Street in Blowing Rock and that is exactly what I got! It was perfect! The location was excellent. I loved the coffee shop and home store below. "This beautiful property was perfect for what we needed. Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!"

"The folks that manage the property were so personal and friendly. Very helpful. The area is well marked so you know where to take care of trash, find extra parking...etc. Very quiet location and feels secluded but you're only minutes away from grocery store. "Husband and I went for a quick getaway. Everything was clean and convenient. The cats were so sweet and nice company to have while you sat on the balcony and looked at the lake. Fishing was extremely relaxing as well. They had board games for the rainy night we had and the kitchen was well stocked. Loved it and would definitely try to go again."

"The pictures do not showcase how lovely this home is. Kitchen was beautiful. Farmhouse sink that i would live to have in my home. Countertops were exceptionally beautiful. Color selection throught the home was warm, neutral and inviting. King bed was very comfortable. No problems falling asleep. Sitting area was quaint and private. The upper deck was a joy. "Overall I'm glad we picked this hotel. The staff at the hotel were super nice! The floor in our room was a bit squeaky, but we barely heard anything from the floor above us. The pool was a very comfortable temperature and the sauna felt good. They had a heavy snow early on the day we checked in, so we were glad to have a lower level to park in!"
