“This is the third time we have stayed at the black bear lodge in Stratton and every time we stay our experience is the same.. excellent. The staff are all so nice and accommodating, the property is clean and the breakfast is perfect. The rooms are comfortable and clean, it really is the perfect place to stay in Vermont. See you in October. ”

“Everything was great with the exception of the pool towels. I make this comment every time as they are threadbare and small. Everything else at the hotel is excellent.”

“It was fine, clean and tidy. It was a bit dated and the beds were a little hard. They did have snacks in the rooms and we did figure out how to change the tv to a different language. What I didn’t like is the limited check in time. It really ruled over our day, and we didn’t do as much sight seeing as we would have liked because of their time limit. ”

“The hotel was so cute!! Very small hotel, very quiet and it was amazing that the windows in the rooms opened for fresh air. The backyard area, pool and hot tub were extremely clean. Very cute sitting area with games and books and a fireplace in the winter. Will absolutely be booking again in the future! ”

“Amazing! Cannot get a better location! So close to everything! Quick walk to village shops and slopes. Very clean. Lots more room than I was expecting for two big 17 year old boys and parents. Kids had their own bedroom, bathroom and storage area on main floor, adult had master suite with own bathroom upstairs. Plenty of room in kitchen and family room. The only complaint is that hotels hot tubs and pool were over run with too many little kids. ”

“Our key would not work after being out and the employee in the office could not understand what was needed. The Travel Lodge number which was given to us wa called and the gentleman showed up within 5 min, with new cards.”

“If you are looking for up-to-the-minute decor, this is not the place for you. But our hosts' warm welcome and happy atmosphere worked for us. The dinner restaurant recommendation was great (Ye Olde Tavern), our host-prepared-breakfast (eggs to order) was excellent. The beds seemed a little soft but were totally comfortable, the inn was quiet and we slept like rocks. I imagine it would be a great place to chill out in the lounge after a long day skiing or hiking (or shopping). I wish we could……
