Peaceful stay

"It’s an old inn that has been renovated over the years and still has a country small town feel. The Inn is centrally located in the town so short walks to places to eat or drink are close. The staff and owner are very friendly. My wife and I also enjoyed the farmers market that is on Saturdays right across the street from the Inn."

"This was a charming inn in the countryside of Vermont with beautiful mountains and valleys. Excellent location in the Mad River Valley to explore the small towns surrounding it!! Historic charm and very accommodating hosts. Friendly service. They are very Informative. Great breakfast as a bonus!! We would definitely recommend and would go back. "

Fabulous place for a large family gathering

"We loved it! Great location, close to the quaint town of Waitsfield. If you’re lucky with the weather and you have kids- amazing sledding hill! (We did insist the kids wear their ski helmets as it was long and FAST). Kitchen well supplied. The hosts were always helpful and responsive."

"I was VERY lucky to find a room at Lareau Farm Inn a week before the solar eclipse on April 8th, and at a most reasonable price. My luck aside, we enjoyed the rustic decor and settings of this inn; we especially appreciated the hospitality of the staff and the yummy cook-to-order breakfast offerings included. "

Quaint, comfortable and a delicious breakfast

"The hosts are welcoming, the B&B is cozy and clean, and the breakfast is delicious. This is an old house from the 1800’s with all the charm you would expect, but completely renovated to have all the modern conveniences and very clean. The wood burning fireplace is so inviting. The breakfast is not your typical breakfast. It is a three course delight. We stayed 2 nights. The first morning we had a sweet scone, followed by a poached pear followed by a potato frittata with lox and poached egg. The second morning we had a savory cheese scone, followed by a citrus compote, followed by fresh ricotta and lemon pancakes. The drive to Sugarbush is quick and well worth the drive to stay at the Featherbed Inn. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."

Delightful dog-friendly farmhouse with deck, yard, & W/D - near skiing & hiking

Back in Time

"Location was great. The house was just ok. Pictures are way better than the property. The house just didn't feel clean. Ownership ask you to remove your shoes. But dirt sticks to your bare feet, a lot of it. There was an old hard brownie on top of the refrigerator left behind. Coffee is from the 70's and sad. One tv in the whole house had to move it from room to room. Laundry room half bath is the best . Both full baths are very very dated. And the shower in one is not even useable. It would not recommend this house. This property has not had much effort put in to it."
