“Service and greetings at reception were excellent ”

“The hotel and staff were great. The only complaint was breakfast. It wasn’t a breakfast. It was boxed cereals, breads with cheap small pastries and yogurt. Hard boiled eggs were the only protein. Old bruised apples were the defeated fruit. Sad reason to wake up for breakfast. ”

“After staying in Boston for 2 nights, it was so nice to come to this quiet, welcoming hotel in the mountains of Vermont! The staff made us feel right at home when we checked in and seemed to really care. Our room was very clean and we enjoyed the restaurant and the game room. We could not have chosen a better place to stay! ”

“Hotel is in convenient location to Killington peak. Room was clean. Continental breakfast was nice, and the breakfast area was neat. The room I booked was efficiency queen room, it was small and besides the bad there was not even a chair to seat on. Good for one person to crash for one night. Definitely would choose different room type in the future.”

“I got the 1 bedroom suite there. It was very spacious and comfortable. The perfect place if you want to sleep well. The bedding was ultra comfortable and I had everything I needed.”

“Really beautiful, especially in the fall. We came the second week in October and some reds had fallen but there was a lot of yellow. We were so warm and cozy! There is no way to cook food though, just an outdoor sink, fresh water, and toilet. If you’re coming from out of town make sure you rent a car. There is no Lyft or Uber service in the area.”

“Excellent service, comfortable bed but somewhat disappointing breakfast- waffles too dry; no scrambled eggs; large sausage cut in pieces instead of small individual sausages. I skipped it the 2nd day.”

“We had an excellent off-season stay here. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, with very comfortable beds. The whole property is friendly to dogs on leashes(except possibly inside The Red Slate Restaurant). We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time exploring nearby Manchester, Londonderry, and Dorset. The Red Slate had an excellent menu and we ate there for 2 dinners and breakfasts (reservations on Open Table Suggested). The bar……

“The staff were friendly, the room and common areas were clean. Brattleboro is a nice small town and north of the hotel are perhaps the loveliest small towns in Vermont, with Putney being our favorite! Relaxed, good food and very nice people cap off the beautiful and largely undisturbed back country roads as well as an awesome Coop and country store.”
